PORTLAND, Ore. - Portland CC men's soccer was shutout today 3-0 versus Clark College at Rock Creek Fields.
The result is a blow to the Panthers playoff hopes, with a record of 1-2-3 in NWAC Region play.Â
Looking at the stats for the contest, it was an evenly matched game. PCC finished with 11 shots, while the visiting Penguins managed 12. Portland had a 4-3 advantage in corner kicks.
Clark took advantage of their opportunities and capitalized on Panther mistakes. Jacob Connop scored a first half goal for Clark, followed by goals from Nathan Purvis and Val Gudz in the second.
PCC will try to get back into the post-season race with a home game versus Chemeketa on Friday, October 8.
