PORTLAND, Ore. - Portland CC men's soccer fell to Lane CC for the second week, this time 1-0 after a late score from the Titans.
Five goals were scored between these teams last weekend, but it was defensive struggle today at the Rock Creek Campus.
Just a few shots on frame were mustered by each team. PCC forced Lane keeper Tristan McMahan into three routine saves, while two other good chances were sent wide.
Panther goalie Mahad Malik made six saves - none of which were too difficult - but one shot from Sai Bliss found the back of the net. In the 84th minute, the PCC defense seemed to switch off for just a moment, and Bliss took advantage with a well placed effort from 15 yards away.Â
Portland pressed forward for an equalizer and won a pair of corner kicks, but could not find the needed score.
