PORTLAND, Ore. - Edmonds used a solid defensive effort to defeat Portland 75-51 tonight at Cascade Gym.
The Panthers were held to 28 percent shooting for the game, and had trouble solving the Triton defense all game. PCC did manage to make 18 of 26 tries from the free throw line and were efficient from three point range (7 of 18), but could not match Edmonds balanced attack.
Trailing 38-27 at halftime, PCC cme out strong in the 3rd quarter and outscored the Tritons in the period. The Panthers went cold in the final quarter however, scoring just seven points which allowed Edmonds to pull away for the comfortable victory.
JayLay Harris-Buns and Emily Fortin shared top scoring honors with 13 points each.Â
