EVERETT, Wash. - A big second half sent Portland CC to a 84-66 win over Edmonds CC in the Panthers season opening contest of 2022-23.

A competitive first half ended with the Tritons leading PCC 36-35 going into halftime. The Panthers were just 12 of 32 from the field including a 1 of 7 effort from the three point stripe.

It all changed in the Panthers favor after the break. The shots were still not falling from distance but the overall percentage improved to 52 percent, while the PCC defense held the Tritons to 33 percent for the game.

Newcomer Josh Lincoln was a force, hitting 10 of 12 shots and grabbing 11 rebounds. Isreal Edwards added 12 points and 12 rebounds, completing his double-double.
