Balanced Attack Leads PCC Over Linn-Benton

PORTLAND, Ore. - Five PCC players scored in double figures, highlighting the Panthers team effort win over Linn-Benton today at Harold Williams Court, 92-84.

The game marked a breakout for the Panthers offensively, who had struggled to score in two previous losses. PCC hit 37 of 72 shots, good for 51 percent.

The visiting Roadrunners also shot the ball pretty well overall (47 percent), but struggled from the three point line, making just 4 of 23.

PCC actually looked to run away with this game, leading by as many as 18 points (75-57), with 7:40 to play. LBCC did manage to rally late in the contest, but PCC continued to put enough points on the board to secure the victory.

Trevon Richmond led PCC with 24 points. Jaylen Lyday (16), Tony King (14), George Sadi (13), and Josiah Sewell (10) also scored in double figures for the home team.

The result keeps the Panthers playoff hopes alive. PCC is now 5-7 in NWAC South play, which is currently 6th place and two games behind the 4th place team - Clackamas CC at 7-6.
