PORTLAND, Ore. - Portland CC honored their sophomores before the game, then sent them home with a win over Southwestern Oregon, 91-83.
The Panthers were energized in the first half, wanting to end the season on a high note. PCC opened up a big lead and led 50-36 at halftime thanks to 50 percent shooting and a pesky defensive effort.
SWOCC made a few runs in the second half in an attempt to make a comeback, but PCC made enough clutch baskets to maintain their advantage.
Trevon Richmond closed his PCC career in style, dropping in 24 points. Josiah Sewell added 19 points off the bench.Â
PCC ends their season with a 14-12 overall record, and a 7-9 record in NWAC South play.
Sophomores Demba Sakho, Blake Ling, Jaylen Lyday, Taylor Howard, and Trevon Richmond were honored before the game.Â
