PORTLAND, Ore. - A scoring drought midway through the second half doomed Portland to a 93-90 loss to Mt. Hood CC yesterday at Cascade Gym.
The visiting Saints used an 11-3 run to stretch their slim 2nd period lead out to 78-64 with 8:03 to play. Mt. Hood maintained their advantage, and enjoyed a 88-77 gap with 1:26 on the clock.
Portland made a final push, and cut the score to 92-90 with 10 seconds to play, but the Saints made 5 of 6 free throws down the stretch to secure the win.
Josh Lincoln led the way with 24 points and eight rebounds. Hayden Rose (23) and Ambrose Johnson (18) also scored double figures.
