Panthers Draw With Region Leaders

PORTLAND, Ore. - Portland CC hosted NWAC South leaders Lane CC today, and came away with a hard fought 1-1 draw at the Rock Creek Campus.

The result is a marked improvement over the 4-1 defeat that the Panthers suffered versus the Titans in Eugene several weeks ago.

Karly Murray scored her first goal of the season in the 83rd minute to equalize the match, while the PCC defense did the hard work to limit Lane's chances in the final moments.

After a scoreless first half, the Titans finally broke through the resistance of the Panthers in the 68th minute.Myah Wright found the back of the net on the receiving end of a corner kick.

PCC returned the favor with the tying goal. Jacky Bernabe Salana sent in a corner kick which pinged around in the area briefly. Murray collected the loose ball and deftly looped a shot over the Titan keeper from a tight angle.
