PORTLAND, Ore. - Portland couldn't slow down Umpqua CC today at Cascade Gym, falling 86-51 in NWAC region action in Portland.

The host Panthers looked to give the 3rd place Riverhawks a challenge in the early going, matching them shot for shot in the 1st quarter which eneded tied at 19-19.

UCC took over from there, out scoring Portland 29-10 in 2nd period and forging a lead that would continue to grow.

Portland continued to fight hard in the second half, but were unable to find enough scoring punch to make a comeback attempt. 

Ellie Haas continued her improved play, scoring a season high 17 points which included three makes from behind the arc. Ashely Aughterson added 11 points and nine rebounds.
