PORTLAND, Ore. - Portland CC faced the NWAC's top ranked team today at Cascade Gym, and found themselves at the losing end of a 79-42 score.
The visiting Titans showed why they are still undefeated on the season, jumping out to a 31-6 lead in the first quarter. Portland was unable to slow down Lane's hot shooting and could not find any offensive rhythm.Â
The rest of the game was better for the host Panthers as shot began to fall, and Lane's scoring cooled down considerably. The damage was done however, and any comeback attempt by PCC was blunted by ball handling mistakes by the home team. PCC finished the game with a 39 percent shooting mark, but committed 34 costly turnovers.
Emily Fortin led the Panthers with 12 points and seven rebounds. Malia Cabigon and Ashley Aughterson shook off slow starts to score 10 points each.
