TUKWILA, Wash. - Portland CC rebounded from a heavy loss in a dramatic way, defeating Blue Mountain 5-1 in their second game at the NWAC Friendlies today at Starfire Sports Complex.
The last time the Panther men scored five goals in a game was during the 2021 season, and PCC tallied four of those five today in the first half.
Cristobal Esquivel and Ivan Alfaro scored two goals each to lead the Panther attack. Esquivel got things started just three minutes into the match, which set the tone for the rest of the action.
BMCC managed to equalize the score by way of Rolando Castillo in the 20th minute, but the rest of the proceedings belonged to Portland.
Michael Freeman added a goal on the second half to round out the scoring.
Kaleb Devore and Mahad Malik again shared the goalkeepeing duties for PCC.
