PORTLAND, Ore. - The Portland CC men's soccer team resisted a powerful Highline team for as long as they could , but ultimately fell 4-0 to the Thunderbirds 4-0 at the Rock Creek Campus today.
The T-Birds showed why they are ranked #4 in the NWAC poll, and came away with the convincing win despite a game effort from the host Panthers.
PCC were up to the challenge in the first half, surrendering a single goal and threatening the Highline goal on several occasions.
The match turned during a 20 minute stretch of the second half, with Highline putting in three goals during that span to put the game out of reach. Zane May had the final two goals to earn his brace.
Goalkeeper Mahad Malik did his best to keep Highline at bay, making six saves.
