Third Win in a Row for PCC Women

PORTLAND, Ore. - Portland CC made it three wins running with a 82-49 win over Edmonds today inside Cascade Gym.

Emily Henderson continued her strong play, scoring 28 points which was just one point below her season high versus Everett last weekend.

A key team stat for PCC was a season low turnover performance (12), with the team handling a full court press with minimal mistakes.

The game started competitive, as the two teams played to an 8-8 tie through the midpoint of the first quarter. Portland began to impose their will at that point, and pushed out to a 29-14 lead by the end of the period.

Portland continued to extend their lead throughout the 2nd and 3rd quarters, holding the Tritons to just two points over the 10 minutes of the third period.

Edmonds rallied somewhat in the final period, cutting a game high 40 point gap down to the final margin of 33.

Henderson finished the game shooting 10 of 18 and also made 6 of 8 free throw tries. Kamakila Waiwiaole added 15 points and seven rebounds. Claudia Arellano chipped in with 15 points off the bench.
