PORTLAND, Ore. - Portland CC were very much in the game at halftime verus Chemeketa, but conceded four goals in the second half on the way to a 5-1 loss today at the Rock Creek Campus.
The visiting Storm scored first, with Emorie Loewen tapping home the rebound of her own shot that was initially saved by PCC keeper Evelyn Hollingsworth.
Portland answered just before halftime through Alli Aldinger. Maite Alvalos lofted in a corner kick from the left that Aldinger scrambled over the line.
The game was decided during a 10 minute stretch of the second half. The Storm found space behind the PCC back line, hitting for three quick goals from the 58th minute to the 67th minute that put the game out of reach. Chemeketa then added a final goal in the dying second of the game.
