Basketball
The emphasis on basketball at our institution has brought the new Cascade Gym to Portland Community College in June of 2004. At this facility, Panther Basketball team members develop their athleticism, practice, and play their home games. This two-story, $5 million dollar jewel, is the finest facility in the NWAC conference. It is located at the Cascade Campus which is a less than 5 minutes from the Trail Blazers home court of the Rose Garden in the heart of Portland, Oregon.
Amazing in both look and function, Cascade Gym features a state-of-the-art basketball court, private home and away locker rooms, and a specialized first aid and athletic training room. The second floor is fully-equipped with an elevator, free weights, new cardiovascular and weight machines, and a hardwood floor studio. The Panther Basketball program has received this facility with an expectation to become the elite program in the region. We are completely committed to the advancement and success of our program and each individual team member.
Soccer
Rock Creek Recreation Facility is a 32-acre complex that provides sports fields and other recreational opportunities.
Facility Features
- Two synthetic turf soccer/lacrosse/football fields
- Four sand-based baseball/softball fields
- A natural turf practice field
- An archery range
- Six tennis courts
- An off-leash dog park
The facility also includes a half-mile perimeter loop trail, a pedestrian plaza, a picnic pavilion, play equipment, a concession stand and restrooms.
