Tyrone White

With over a decade of service to Portland Community College, Tyrone White has become the heart and soul of Panther Athletics. His belief in the mission and careĀ for students has made him the perfect ambassador for PCC sports.

He arrived on Killingsworth Street in 2013 as an assistant basketball coach, helping Tony Broadous turn the long dormant Panthers into a championship program. His recruiting and player development was key to formingĀ PCC into perennial contenders. White was on the sideline for two NWAC South crownsĀ and anĀ NWAC Tournament Championship.

WhiteĀ addedĀ the Program ManagerĀ roleĀ in 2017, and has become well known for hisĀ steady support of student athletes. Academic monitoring, eligibility, compliance, and event management are all a part of his daily duties. He also serves as the NWAC Men's Commissioner for PCC.

His championship pedigree started in 1989 as a member of the NWAACC Champion team at Chemeketa Community College.Ā
