Walter Arevalo

After PCC suffered a 21 year absence from competing in men’s soccer, in 2015 Walter Arevalo took on the challenge of building up the program. Preparing for his third season as head coach, his statistics and experience prove his capabilities of leading a team to a championship. In his second season with the Panthers they finished the year by competing in the playoffs, ending with a 9-5-5 record. Although Walter is just beginning his career with PCC, he has gained 15 years of coaching experience from soccer programs including Forest Grove High School, St. Mary’s Academy, Olympic Development Program (ODP) and currently the head coach for Thorns FC ODP. Along with his knowledge of coaching the game, Walter is also working towards knocking down language barriers between his players and him. He currently speaks Portuguese, Spanish, and English while learning Italian and French. With that level of devotion to his players, there is no wonder as to why he was named NWAC Southern Region Co-Coach of the year in 2016.
