PORTLAND, Ore. - In a competitive but friendly contest, the Panther men defeated the PCC Alumni team, 84-82 on Saturday at the Cascade Gym.
George Sadi hit a three point shot with 6 seconds left on the clock to provide the winning points and outlast a very talented group of former Panther players.
Seven past PCC players made up the Alumni squad. Cam Retherford led the alums with 21 points and 11 rebounds.
All of the available PCC players made an appearance and contributed to the outcome. Jaylen Lyday came off the bench to score a team high 14 points, and four other Panthers scored in double figures.
"It was great to see the alums, and to show them that our program is still strong and moving forward," said coach Tony Broadous. "They gave us a real challenge on the court, and it turned out to be a very exciting game!"
The regular season will resume for the PCC men on December 8, as the Panthers will host Lower Columbia.
