TUKWILA, Wash. - A second match in as many days at the NWAC Friendlies for the Portland CC women's soccer team ended in a 2-0 loss to Tacoma at the Starfire Sports Complex.
Despite an improved overall effort from the The Panthers, TCC scored a goal in each half to secure the win. The Titans found the net in the 36th and 57th minutes.
PCC registerd 4 shots, with Rocky Compton claiming two of them - one of which was on goal. Goalkeeper Ruby Araiza Tapia made two saves in the loss.
"The ladies are giving a good effort on the field, but a few mistakes cost us in our two games so far," said coach Devlyn Jeter. "With so many new players, were still getting to know one another and finding our strengths and weaknesses. Lots of good things are happening, and we'll improve as we train together."
