SALEM, Ore. - The Portland Community College Women's Soccer Team continued their hot streak with a 3-0 win at Chemeketa on Saturday. The result moves the Panthers record to 3-3 and 2-0 in NWAC Southern Region play.

PCC showed their versatility in attack with all three goals coming from different players. Mya Smith and Vanessa Preciado each scored their second goals of 2021, while Kiara Melendez added her third in as many games.

The Panthers tested the host Storm defense early and often, launching 17 shots on goal and forcing their goalkeeper into numerous saves. PCC netminder Ruby Araiza Tapia earned her second shutout of the season.

NWAC play will continue for PCC on Wednesday, September 15 versus Umpqua at PCC Rock Creek Campus. It will be the first home game of 2021 for the Panthers.
