VANCOUVER, Wash. - A clash of rivals ended in a draw, as Portland and Clark battled for 90 minutes and scored two goals each.

The 2-2 result was the first NWAC Southern Region contest for both teams. 

Fernando Garcia opened the scoring for the host Penguins, finding the net in the 19th minute. The Panthers answered just six minutes later from the foot of Erik Mancera.

The sides each scored one more time in second half. This time PCC claimed the lead thanks to the strike from Jeremy Ravelo-Romano in the 55th minute. 

The Panthers seemed on the way to their first victory of the season, but Garcia tallied his second goal for Clark in the 74th minute.

A red card issued to Mancera gave Clark a man advantage for the final 15 minutes of the game, and the Panthers could not generate a winning goal.

PCC will travel to Chemeketa on Saturday, September 11 for a matchup with the Storm.
