EUGENE, Ore. - Portland CC women's soccer opened their NWAC Southern Region schedule with a hard fought 1-0 win at Lane today.

It was the second victory in a row for the Panthers after three losses to start the season. Kiara Melendez provided the winning goal midway through the second half, her second goal in as many games.

Ruby Araiza Tapia went the distance in goal for Portland, earning her first shutout of the season.

PCC continues their region slate this Saturday, September11 at Chemeketa.
