PORTLAND, Ore. - Portland CC gave Lane CC a strong challenge, but ultimately fell 3-2 to the region leading Titans at the Rock Creek Campus.
The visiting Titans outshot PCC 10-5 in the first half, but it was the Panthers that enjoyed a 1-0 lead at the break. Rayann Abu-Marjoub scored his second goal of the season in the 26th minute. Said Al-Aibari was credited with the assist.
The second half belonged to Lane however, as the Titans scored three straight goals to take control of the game. Jo Hanamoto collected his brace with goals in the 75th and 88th minutes, sandwiching a penalty kick goal from Cameron Jeffrey in the 85th minute.
Bailey Hill tacked on a penalty kick goal for Portland in extra time, but the clock ran out on sending PCC to the disappointing defeat.
The two squads will matchup on October 10, once again at the Rock Creek Campus.
