ABERDEEN, Wash. - The depth of the Panther roster helped Portland to a 64-42 win at Grays Harbor today, the second win over the Chokers this season.
While no Panther played more than 20 minutes, all 11 players scored at least one point on the way to the victory.
Both teams got off to a slow start, as the score was just 11-5 in favor of PCC after the first quarter.
The Panthers continued to play tough defense in the 2nd period while finding their scoring range. PCC led 31-16 at halftime.
The final two stanzas were competitive, but Portland slowly extended their advantage with solid play and persistent defensive effort.
Malia Cabigon led PCC with 17 points on 7 of 11 shooting. Emily Fortin came off the bench to add 13 points including three makes from behind the arc.
