COOS BAY, Ore. - A halftime lead for PCC evaporated in the second period, as the Panthers fell 84-76 at Southwestern Oregon Community College yesterday.
Portland led 42-36 at the break thanks to 17 points from Treyvon Richmond and a defense that held SWOCC to just 42 percent shooting and 2 of 11 from three point range.
The host Lakers turned the tide in the second half, and made adjustments defensively that held PCC to just 24 percent shooting and only seven total field goals.
George Sadi ended the game as the top scorer for Portland with 26 points. Richmond finished with 23.
The result leaves PCC at 3-5 in NWAC Southern Region play, and 7th place after four straight losses.
