SALEM, Ore. - Portland CC lost for the 6th time in 7 games after falling 76-63 at Chemeketa yesterday evening.
The Panthers struggled to score consistently, shooting 38 percent for the game.
The first half started slow for PCC, but a surge late in the period capped by a three pointer from George Sadi gave the Panthers a 28-27 lead. The success was short lived however, and the host Storm outscored PCC 10-2 the rest of the half.
Chemeketa slowly pulled away in the second half, eventually leading by as many as 17Â points (63-46). PCC attempted to rally, and closed the gap to 10 points (67-57) with 6:43 to play, but could not complete the comeback.
George Sadi scored 22 points to lead the Panthers. Tony King came off the bench for a season high 13 points.
