Clark Shoots Past PCC With Three-Ball Accuracy

VANCOUVER, Wash. - Portland CC traveled across the river to take on Clark College yesterday, and dropped a 90-75 decision to the Penguins in NWAC South action.

The Panthers were once again undone by a team that was dialed in from the three point line. Clark made 12 of their 24 tries from behind the arc, several of which were momentum changers that blunted a Panther run.

PCC got off to a good start, jumping out to a 10-5 lead in the early going. The host Penguins turned it around however, and was able to control the rest of the first half. The Panthers found themselves on the wrong end of a 47-28 score at halftime.

The third quarter belonged to Portland, as the visitors were able to slow down the Penguins while cutting the big deficit all the way back to seven points (57-50).

Clark heated up again the the 4th quarter however, and despite scoring 25 points over the 10 minutes of play, Portland surrendered 33 points to the resurgent Penguins.

Malia Cabigon patrolled the paint for 26 points to lead PCC. Emily Fortin added 15 points.
