EUGENE, Ore. - Portland CC earned a valuable road point with a 2-2 draw at Lane CC yesterday in Eugene.
The Titans and the Panthers traded goals over the 90 minutes of action, with both squads scoring once each half.
After Lane opened the scoring with a goal from Robert Sanchez in the 28th minute, PCC answered just 90 seconds later thanks to a Ivan Alfaro strike.
The second half goals were nearly a carbon copy. Jo Hanamoto scored in the 51st minute for the Titans, then Josue Dolores Lopez responded 70 seconds later with his 3rd goal of the season.
Portland finished the game with just four total shots, making the most of their limited chances.
The result puts PCC solidly in 2nd place (4-5-1, 16 points) in the NWAC South standings. The Panthers have four games remaining.
