SPOKANE, Wash. - The Portland CC men's basketball team came home from eastern Washington with two wins and one loss after a weekend of games at the Bigfoot Classic.

GAME 1 - Everett, 93, Portland 89

PCC suffered a close loss to Everett CC on Friday afternoon. The Panthers were in front for a good portion of the game and led 87-86 with 3:23 to play. Unfortunately PCC would be outscored by the Trojans 7-2 down the stretch, missing 3 of 4 shots while Everett hit several clutch baskets.

Hayden Rose led all scorers with 27 points.

GAME 2 - Portland 110, Yakima Valley 68

Portland responded on Saturday with a 40 point rout of Yakima Valley. The Panthers were able to get out in transition for easy baskets while also finding their shooting touch from distance, making 18 three pointers.

Defensively, PCC held the Yaks to 34 percent shooting and forced 16 turnovers.

Jahvari Martino led the way with 28 points on 12 of 20 shooting.

GAME 3 - Portland 103, Spokane 91

The Panthers closed the weekend with a shootout win over tournament host Spokane on Sunday afternoon.

Sparked by Hayden Rose and his 26 points, Portland showcased a very efficient offense (38 of 56, 57 percent) and were especially deadly from three point range, making 14 of 28 attempts. The Sasquatch did their best to match PCC, going 14 of 29 from the arc.

The contest looked to be a comfortable win for Portland after building a 22 point lead in the second half, and enjoying a 90-75 advantage with 7:10 to play. Spokane had other plans, rallying for 11 straight points that cut the gap down to four points (90-86).

PCC responded with 9-0 run of their own to put the game out of reach.

Along with Rose's heroics, Josh Licoln added 23 points.
