PORTLAND, Ore. - For five years running, Lower Columbia and Portland have faced each other in exciting NWAC basketball action. Last night the winner was the visiting Red Devils by a score of 88-79.
The host Panthers started strong and led the entirety of the 1st half, but took just a two point advantage into the locker room. PCC led by as much as 16 points (35-19), but allowed were outscored by LC 19-5 to close the period.
The second half was closely contested, with the score tied 10 different times. Lower Columbia took the lead for good with 8:31 to play, then maintaining a single digit lead until the final buzzer.
The post duo of Josh Lincoln (26 points) and Hayden Rose (22 points, 12 rebounds) led PCC on the night.
