TUKWILA, Wash. - The Porltand CC mend's soccer team found themselves on the wrong end of a 7-0 score after their 2023 season opening game versus Everett at the NWAC Friendlies.
The young Panther squad was stunned by six first half goals from the Trojans, as Everett showed why they were ranked #6 in the NWAC preseason poll.
Coach Roberto Maestretti made the needed adjustments at halftime, leading to a much more competitive effort from PCC in the second period.
The Panthers managed to register six shots in the attempt to challenge the Everett defense, led by Yahir Garfias with two.
Mahad Malik and Matthew McKedy shared time in goal.
The Panthers will try to rebound versus Blue Mountain tomorrow at noon.
