SUTHERLIN, Ore - Portland CC women's soccer made it two wins in a row after a 3-0 result versus Umpqua CC yesterday at Sutherlin High School.
THe Panthers did all their damage in the first half. Melissa Fraijo struck for two goals (a brace) - the fist in the 18th minute and the second in the 25th minute.
In between Fraijo's goals, Thalia Monroy scored her second goal of the season in the 19th minute.
Goalkeeper Aleena Calvert made six saves to preserve the shutout and had several phenomonal saves along the way.
This was also Fraijo's second game-winning goal in the last week to carry the Panther squad into a promising start to South Region play (2-1).
