Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Panthers Still Alive After Victory

PORTLAND, Ore. - Portland CC men's soccer remained in the hunt for a playoff spot after a 1-0 win over Chemeketa yesterday at the Rock Creek Campus.

Alexis Llamas provided the winning goal, scoring in the 24th minute. Austin Nyberg was credited with the assist. The Panthers dictated the pace for much of the game, outshooting the Storm 13-6 over the 90 minutes of action.

The result puts the Panthers in 4th place in the NWAC South standings at 4-8-1 (13 points) with one game to play. Chemeketa is in 3rd place (16 points) but their regular season is concluded. A win next week at Lane will move PCC level with the Storm and holding the tiebreaker thanks to two wins over Chemeketa this season.

Sophomores Alexis Llamas, Gerardo Contreras, Ricardo Ruiz, and Brandon Marin all played their final home game for the Panthers.
