EUGENE, Ore. - Portland CC women's soccer suffered a tough loss at Lane CC yesterday on the road, 2-1.
The scoring for the match was all done by the 21st minute, and the game turned into a defensive battle for the rest of the day.
The host Titans scored first, as Sarah Money put one in the net just two minutes after kickoff.
The Panthers responded by way of Karly Murray's third goal of the season. Her successful shot in the 10th minute tied the game.
Lane responded with the game winner in the 21st minute, as Money scored again.
Portland did not attempt another shot on goal the rest of the match, as the Titan defense turned back every Panther attack.Â
Aleena Calvert made four saves as PCC was also solid defensively for the rest of the game, but no equalizing goal was forthcoming.
