PORTLAND, Ore. - Portland CC made two first half goals stand up in a crucial 2-0 win over Southwestern Oregon today under sunny skies at the Rock Creek Campus.
The Panthers gained a sure upper hand during the first period, outshooting the visiting Lakers 7-1 over the 45 minutes of action and winning five corner kicks. The effort paid off with goals from Yesenia Gaspar (12'), and Elizabeth Valdez (40').
PCC continued to press forward in the second half also, but missed a few good opportunities early. SWOC was also a more determined opponent after halftime.
