OLYMPIA, Wash. - Portland fell behind early to a hot shooting South Puget Sound team, resulting in a 78-68 loss on the road yesterday.
The Clippers hit 10 of their 15 shots during the 1st quarter, which allowed the host to build a 24-15 lead.Â
The Panthers were able to improve their defense for the rest of the game, but could not gain enough ground. PCC finished the game shooting 47 percent (24 of 51), but 15 turnovers limited any comeback effort.
Amelia Echternkamp had a breakout game, scoring 27 points on 10 of 22 shooting. Raven Parson added 14 points.
