PASCO, Wash. - Portland fell to host Columbia Basin 63-48 in the final game of the NWAC Crossover today.
The Panthers put forth a solid defensive effort, holding the Hawks to 38 percent shooting overall and allowing just two made three pointers. However, PCC did not have the scoring punch at the other end of the floor to challenge for the win.
The 2nd quarter was the deciding period, as CBS outscored Portland 23-6 over the 10 minutes of play. PCC won the second half by one point, but could not overcome the 35-19 halftime deficit.
Raven Parson broke out of her mini-slump to lead PCC with 13 points on 5 of 11 shooting. Amelia Echternkamp added 11 points.
