LONGVIEW, Wash. - After a lopsided win on day one, Portland CC suffered two defeats on Saturday and Sunday on the campus of Lower Columbia College.
GAME 1
The Panthers came out on the short end of a 81-70 score versus Spokane on Saturday. PCC was saw their recent form of good shooting fall back in this one, mustering just 39 percent for the game (24-62).Â
The Sasquatch were in control of most of the contest, and led by as many as 19Â points (72-53) in the second half thanks to consistent shooting from three point range. Portland rallied late to trim the final spread to 11 points.
JahAllah Van led Portland with 19 points. Jason Amens contributed 15 points on 5 of 7 shooting from the three point line.
GAME 2
Southwestern Oregon handed PCC a heavy defeat on Sunday, winning 100-69 over the Panthers. The second half was a forgettable period for PCC, as a one point advantage at halftime (35-34) turned into a 31 point loss just 20 minutes later.
The Lakers blistered the nets at a 64 percent clip after halftime, with Portland unable to answer. PCC went scoreless for a six minute stretch, allowing SWOC to gain all the momentum.
Jackson Leach (17) and JahAllah Van (16) led PCC in scoring. Daniel James added 9 points and 11 rebounds.
