PORTLAND, Ore. - Two days after suffering a heavy loss, Portland rebounded with a win over Clackamas today inside Cascade Gym,
The result is an important early season win for the NWAC South title race, and moves the Panthers to 4-2 in league play.
The teams were evenly matched for all 40 minutes, as the lead exchanged hands eight times with neither side leading by more than eight points.
After a stalemate in the first half of play, the visiting Cougars edged ahead in the second half and led 58-50 with just over 10 minutes gone. A 9-0 run by PCC capped by a three pointer from Jamie McGrail erased the deficit and the fight was on.

On the other end, Portland was able to get enough stops to help build the slight advantage that CCC was not able to overcome.
