SALEM, Ore. - Region leaders Chemeketa handed Portland a 4-1 loss yesterday, as the Storm used a strong second half to pull away.

The visiting Panthers scored first, taking the early lead thanks to Laura Bell-Cabacungan. Her second goal of the season came in the 19th minute.

From there Chemeketa scored four unanswered. Bethany Villegas tied the game in the 35th minute to make the score 1-1 at halftime.

Villegas then added two more in the second half to complete the hat trick. Evelyn Lobil finished off the scoring for the game.

Panther goal keepers Evelyn Hollingswoth and Natalie Oliveira shared time, combining to make eight saves.

PCC will try to get back in the win column next week with a trip to Southwestern Oregon.
