SPOKANE, Wash. -Portland CC picked up a second win at the Spokane Crossover today, this time defeating Tacoma 76-68.
The Panthers put a nose in front during the 1st period, leading by six (22-14) after the opening period. The Titans owned the 2nd quarter and turned the deficit into a 38-33 lead heading into the locker rooms.
The rebounding advantage that Portland established began to take hold in the second half. PCC grabbed a season high 28 offensive rebounds leading to 22 second chance points, and ended the game with a commanding disparity of 62 to 35 in overall rebounds.Â
Bregan Ruhland scored 14 of her team leading 21 points in the second half, helping PCC to their biggest lead of 13 (76-63) with two minutes remaining.
Emily Henderson added 15 points, while Kamakila Waiwaiole recovered from a tough game yesterday with 14Â points and 12 rebounds.
