EUGENE, Ore. - Portland CC dropped an early season region clash to Lane CC yesterday by the score of 4-1.
Coming off an encouraging win last week, the Panthers were unable to carry the momentum to Eugene. PCC conceded two early goals in the first 20 minutes, and unable to grab a hold of the game.
After the rough start, Portland settled in and began to execute their tactics. No goals were forthcoming, but the action on the pitch was competitive and spirited.
Unfortunately for PCC, the host Titans tacked on a third goal just after the break which effectively made the result a forgone conclusion.
Otto Pasley gave Portland some hope with a well worked goal in the 53rd minute, but Lane made sure of the outcome with a counterattack and finish 10 minutes later.
