PORTLAND, Ore. - Panther freshman Kayla Vera was named NWAC Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for August 25 - 31.
The midfielder from Ontario, Oregon scored the opening goal for the Panthers in their 8-0 win over Rogue to open South Region play as it held up as the game-winner just 22 seconds into the match. She added another goal and two assists in the dominating win for PCC.
"Kayla is an extremely smart and vocal player and will undoubtedly be a huge spark plug for us this season," said head coach Shawn Bundy.
