PORTLAND, Ore. - After hanging tough versus Umpqua for three quarters, the Riverhawks pulled away for a 78-55 win over PCC today at Cascade Gym.
The host Panthers were putting together one of their best offensive performances heading into the 4th quarter, while also minimizing ball handling miscues.
Trailing 59-48 after the 3rd quarter, PCC was hoping to make a solid push in the final period to give themselves a chance. The shots stopped falling however, and UCC scored 12 straight points to earn the comfortable win.
Umpqua likes to shoot the long ball and did their damage from behind the arc (15 of 36).Â
Portland committed just 13 turnovers, their lowest total for a region contest this season.
Bregan Ruhland dropped in 19 points to go along with three assists and three steals. Udoka Amadi continues to grab most every rebound, collecting 18 missed shots while scoring 10 points.
