PORTLAND, Ore. - The 5th annual Aaron Bell Black Men's Health Awareness will be held on February 14th during the Men and Women's double header basketball game.
In 2019, PCC received the terrible news of the passing of assistant coach Aaron Bell due to a heart related illness. The annual Aaron Bell African-American Men's Health Awareness Day attempts to bring awareness to everyone - especially men - that resources are available to improve wellness and to encourage healthy lifestyle choices. While the day will focus on the health of African-American men who statistics show have a much higher death rate than other men, the resources are available to everyone and all are welcome!
This event will include:
- Body & mind health tips
- Free blood pressure testing
- Health clinic information
- Raffle prizes
The event will be held in partnership with North by Northeast Community Health Center.
